September 1st, 2005.
Several of the founders were active in the radio business, and began making calls to affiliated radio stations across the United States that WHI would be making a run to the disaster areas with supplies. Several stations began supply and cash drives. WHI reached out to corporate contacts and within 24-hours several thousand dollars had been raised. A cargo van was donated by a national car rental outfit, and the mission was in play.

From fires to floods and beyond, our aim and our core mission is to provide real and direct relief to those affected. We strive to reduce stress and worry by providing the necessities of life to disaster victims as quickly as possible. By mobilizing assets and stocking food and supplies, we can respond quickly and effortlessly to areas of need.

Case Study: 2005 Hurricanes
As the immediate effects of the Hurricane disasters in the Gulf Coast states unfolded, our founders (in Denver, CO at the time) felt an immediate need to help. Several of the people behind WHI had made immediate donations to the American Red Cross - but it was apparent that more was needed.
